Swiss company Katadyn has been developing drinking water filter solutions since 1928. Today, as well as exclusively making the FRX02 cartridge that is supplied with all Triflow taps; Katadyn also counts the International Red Cross, NATO, UNICEF and the FBI amongst its customers.

One of the most important elements of Katadyn’s FRX02 cartridge is its bacteriostatic silver impregnated, outer ceramic shell. This extremely high quality, micro-porous ceramic removes even tiny contaminants and impurities from tap water – right down to just 0.2 of a micron.

To put that into perspective, consider the average human hair has a width of 50 microns. The silver impregnated into the cartridge’s ceramic acts as a bacteriostat; reducing the growth of microorganisms. More
